Sponsored by CASDA, this interactive and comprehensive training is designed to assist school staff, faculty, and administration teams in supporting the needs of transgender students in and outside of educational environments. Participants will leave equipped with tools to improve communication, curriculum, policies, and institutional systems to provide not just “safer” spaces, but relevant and affirming experiences which allow trans, non-binary and gender expressive youth to thrive.
In addition to the workshop, CASDA will be hosting a debrief and action planning session on April 27 from 8-10 a.m. to continue the discussion of this critical issue. Lyndon will address questions, clarify concepts and facilitate a dialog to help educators implement the strategies discussed during the workshop in their districts. This session will provide an opportunity for reflection, inquiry and planning to help participants affirm and empower transgender and non-binary students.
