This interactive session introduces nonprofit staff and leadership to supporting the needs of transgender clients and community members. Attendees will be equipped with a foundation in communicating with and about trans individuals, and will identify simple systems-level changes for organizations.

The workshop, led by the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, will begin with a two-hour training by Lyndon Cudlitz, exploring how systemic oppression shows up on nonprofit boards and discover strategies to advance our goals. The training will be followed by a panel with local nonprofit board leaders sharing their experiences serving on boards and providing strategies to advance inclusion.
