Looking to provide services that leave trans, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming clients feeling empowered in the outdoors and wanting to return? Designed for guides, instructors, and other service providers, this interactive training explores the experiences of trans individuals in outdoor recreation and tools to better meet their needs.
Participants will examine what’s at the heart of mistakes, how to recover from them, and how to communicate with and about trans, nonbinary, and intersex individuals. From workshopping client scenarios, to identifying specific recommendations, this training provides participants with a non-judgmental space to ask tough questions and to dig deeper into what allyship can really look like in the outdoors.
Dinner provided. Must pre-register. Sliding scale: $50-$100
