Supervision and Treatment Services for Juveniles Program (STSJP) leads.

Runaway and homeless youth (RHY) coordinators.
RHY programming management and staff.
Detention providers management and staff.
Details: Each session includes a two-part virtual training. Each training day will be three hours and participants should attend both days. Please use the link below to register. (Each training session below includes the same content.)
Training topics will include:
Overview of common terms/identities used by youth.
Gender identity development in young people.
Causes for disproportionate rate of LGBTQ+ youth in systems.
Protective factors.
Confidentiality and safety considerations.
Communicating with families of LGBTQ+ youth.
Affirming programming and activities.
Overview of social, legal, cultural, physical and medical transition.
Relevant laws and protections.

Session 1: October 2 and 9 – 12:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.
Session 2: October 31 and November 7- 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
Session 3: November 18 and 25- 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
